CINE-FILE is an independent, non-profit web resource, providing information about film & video screenings, and connecting Chicago cineastes.

Our focus is independent, underground, experimental/avant-garde, and repertory/revival cinema, with the occasional alternative perspective on mainstream cinema.

Chicago is home to a wide variety of independent exhibitors, offering rare and important screenings week after week. The goal of this site is to bring all of their information together in one webspace.

In June 2010, The Chicago Reader named CINE-FILE "Best Website for Film Buffs" in their Best of Chicago issue!
